ripple to buy Google (rumours confirmed)

You be ripple’s now

Today, April 1, ripple would like to confirm persistent rumours that have been swirling around Silicon Valley and Richmond over the last week. ripple.org has reached an historic agreement with Google to acquire a majority stake in the company. ripple and Google have been in intermittent discussions for the last six months. Google has accepted ripple’s offer of cash and shares amounting to $45,000 US per share, and one group hug. The deal was announced at a press conference this morning with Google Representatives Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Erick Schmidt and ripple directors Simon Griffiths and Dennis the Droplet. Mr Brin stated that the ‘deal was a good one for our shareholders and for my bank balance’. He then began laughing maniacally and making donkey noises. Dennis the Droplet scoffed at speculation that it was a foolish move for a small volunteer charity website to purchase one of the world’s largest internet companies saying ‘Scoff, scoff’. The press conference ended in Chaos when members of Mr Griffith’s fan club arrived with banners and donuts for him to sign.
